RAIN RAIN GO AWAY, WE WANT TO RIDE OUR BIKES TODAY!

All Club Riders,

Though good weather isn't likely for tonight's Club Rides, we've got some good routes planned.  Let's hope we get to ride them TONIGHT!

Group A,  Dan Kurowski leading

A and B riders: John Taloumis needs a rest day. He rode in a 12 hour MTB competition on Saturday and WON the 50+ division. Congrats John.
So, if the weather cooperates, Dan will lead an A/B+ group, 17-19mph avg, no drop ride, regrouping at the top of all the climbs. David Bond will be leading a B- Group, 16-18mph avg, no drop, regrouping at the top of climbs and major intersections.
The weather isn't looking promising. Check back here after 4pm or call the shop for cancellation information.

Not so fantastic weather for tonight, so check with the shop for cancellaton decisons but if we can ride here's what we'll do, 34miles only 1200 up including the Powder Hill, Reeves and Hall Hill climbs!  Didn't know a climbing route could be so flat.  Let's do it.

Bike Maintenance Clinic Offering

Hi Everyone!

Thursday, July 31, 2014, the shop will be offering a general maintenance class for all club riders. The class will start at 7pm at the shop and will cover various topics such as flat tire repair, chain cleaning, and pre-ride safety checks. 

This class is open to all club riders, but due to the nature of the class we are limiting it to 7 attendees. To sign up for the class you can contact the shop. This event will be first come, first serve.

If you are interested in the class but are unable to attend, we will try to plan an additional class.

Super weather for Tonight's Group Rides

Hey Club CEC Cyclists,

Here is Monday's A ride.  It should be a great night of riding. We will be leaving the shop at 5:30. The pace will be 18-20 mph average.

B riders, looks like we finally have the weather that we get to do this route that John has planned for 3 weeks now!  It's a relatively flat 44mi route thru Agawam country roads with 1575 of climbing (per Strava) so it should be a 'fast' paced ride.  Just follow the link below to get familiar with the route and print a cue sheet if you like.

Group B-, David Bond leading

Sorry to have to let you know that Ed Fogarty, our B- leader had an accident last Tuesday that had put him off the bike for the foreseeable future.  He has a broken rib, damaged shoulder and worst torn thumb that needs involved surgery to fix. If anyone wants to share well wishes with Ed, his address is 15 Rolling Meadow Lane, East Longmeadow, MA 01028.

On to the good news, David Bond is stepping to lead for tonight's ride.  He has a relatively flat-rolling, familiar route planned.
